Job Summary
The Assoc. Dir. Model Based System and Discipline Chief will lead technical initiatives in Model Based Quality at Pratt & Whitney, enhancing the quality and compliance of manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include maintaining standard work, improving practitioners’ technical proficiency, and leading AI model initiatives for quality processes. The role demands experience in standard work development, mentoring quality professionals, and proficiency in Model Based Definition formats. Strong communication skills are necessary for updating leadership on project status and process improvements, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 12 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Ops, Project Management, Quality or equivalent
- Experience with creating and editing standard work
- Training and mentoring quality professionals to improve proficiency
- Proficiency in various Model Based Definition formats such as STEP 242, QIF, JT
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- CMM programming experience
- Experience with PLM, CAI, NX
- Experience with Team Center, Solumina\iBase-t, SAP, AI Agents and related systems
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and quality systems and processes at Pratt & Whitney
