Job Summary
Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly to maintain Altair's elevated presentation standards while delivering food and beverage orders accurately from the kitchen. Support the front-of-house team with table maintenance, restocking, and guest needs, communicating proactively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow. Assist with venue setup and breakdown, inspect assigned areas, and maintain cleanliness of dining and lounge spaces including floors and service stations. Pose for promotional activities, participate in themed events, and provide accurate information regarding venues, menus, and pricing. Monitor potentially intoxicated guests, respond to complaints with a positive attitude, and maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance. Perform other duties as assigned, including inventory counts and recycling, while adhering to all safety policies and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations
- Previous experience in food and beverage service, busing, or food running in an upscale hospitality setting
- Requires a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in beverage services within a high-volume beverage venue
- Valid work cards (Health, Alcohol Awareness and Non-Gaming)
- Previous work experience as a Barback required
- Must have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes
- Must be able to push and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions repeatedly
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language
- Computer skills in Microsoft applications. (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, rain, extreme cold
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an upscale restaurant, lounge, hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment preferred
