Job Summary
Coordinate daily unit-specific patient mobilization activities under on-site supervision of a delegating nurse or therapist. Perform designated routine patient mobilization tasks while documenting in the EMR. Complete other duties as assigned without interpreting referrals, evaluating procedures, or discussing medical diagnoses with patients. Maintain active licensure as a CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or equivalent military medical specialist. Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is mandatory for all individuals providing care to vulnerable populations.
Required Qualifications
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist
- National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
- Successful completion of an SMH approved program
- Obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation
- Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
