Mobility Technician

Job Summary
Mobility Technician assists clinical staff in an inpatient setting with patient mobility, infection control processes, assisting patients in exercises or functional activities, transporting patients to treatment areas, inspecting and maintaining equipment, stocking and supplying procurement, and basic clerical tasks. Delivers patient care per department guidelines and supports Patient and Family-Centered Care. Requires strong communication, time management, and ability to work with an interprofessional care team; proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office; promotes safety and quality in daily duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One of the following: One year Patient Care Assistant/Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care hospital, long-term acute care hospital or equivalent; Six months therapy experience (PT/OT/Rehab Tech); Nursing student who has completed first clinical rotation
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association
