Mobility Tech - ICU

Mobilize patients out of bed daily for all three meals using safe patient handling equipment, including wheelchairs, stretchers, Hoyer lifts, and hospital beds. Assess portable equipment such as oxygen cylinders, PCA pumps, and feeding pumps, while monitoring sudden changes in patient status to ensure safety. Perform stand-pivot and multi-person transfers, ambulate appropriate patients three times daily to prevent deconditioning, and coordinate with therapists for optimal participation. Relay pertinent information regarding patient activity, pain levels, and medication needs to nursing staff. Clean and disinfect all used equipment, notify Bio-Medical of malfunctions, and maintain accurate documentation. Maintain safety for patients, co-workers, and family members at all times.
