Job Summary

The Mobile Crisis Response Community Worker (MCRCW) collaborates with therapists to provide mental health services in the community, focusing on de-escalating crises and assessing the needs of individuals and families. Responsibilities include coordinating services with other providers, documenting services per program guidelines, and ensuring quality of care. The role demands excellent communication skills, time management, and the capability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders including local law enforcement. The position includes flexible 12-hour shifts with three-day and four-day work weeks, and the candidate must possess lived experience related to mental health.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma
  • Lived experience of being diagnosed with a mental illness or having a family member diagnosed with a mental illness or lived experience of being formerly unhoused.
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Current automobile insurance
  • Clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company
  • Immediate access to vehicle during work hours

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred (verbal skillset only)

Additional Requirements

  • Must have lived experience related to mental health or homelessness
