Job Summary
Mobile Trailer Technician (Tier 2 or 3) provides on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on commercial trailers at customer locations or roadside in a company mobile service vehicle. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, structural, and electrical issues; performing DOT inspections and preventative maintenance; repairing brake systems, suspension components, lighting/electrical systems, liftgates, air systems, doors, floors, and welding/structural repairs. Duties also cover responding to road calls, documenting work and parts, communicating repair recommendations to customers and leadership, maintaining stock and safety compliance per OSHA/DOT, and supporting shop operations during low mobile demand. Required strengths include strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, safety awareness, professional communication, and a customer-first mindset.
