Job Summary
Repair and inspect lease/rental semi-trailers across makes/models; diagnose and repair electrical, structural, chassis, hydraulic, air brake, ABS, lift gate, and basic reefer systems; perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance; open/close repair orders, manage parts inventory, and document DOT forms; coordinate with Lease/Rental Operations Supervisor to meet daily scheduling and demand; maintain safety, reliability, and compliance in a fast-paced service environment; located in Manheim, PA; shift options include Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri from 7am to 5pm; benefits include profit sharing, PTO, paid holidays, health/dental/vision, and 401K; no weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience working on Semi-Trailers
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in Electrical Systems, Structural Repairs, Chassis Repairs, Hydraulic / Air Brake / ABS systems, Lift Gate Systems, Basic Reefer Repairs, Federal DOT Inspections
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance
- Identify warrantable repairs and document using provided UKTS processes
- Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Excellent organization, customer service, communication and planning skills
- Open and close repair orders on company issued laptop
- Manage parts inventory on the service truck
- Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion
- Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within standard repair times
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safety
