Mobile Trailer Mechanic

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on commercial trailers, diagnosing and repairing brake systems, suspension, wheel seals, bearings, hubs, and axles. Repair or replace lights, wiring, electrical systems, and ABS components, while executing welding, fabrication, and structural repairs. Service air systems, tires, wheels, and other trailer components, including doors, roofs, floors, landing gear, and roll-up doors. Complete emergency roadside repairs and scheduled mobile service calls, maintaining accurate service records and operating a fully equipped mobile service truck. Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations while communicating professionally with customers regarding repair recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of trailer repair experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial trailer systems and DOT inspection requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Time management skills
