Job Summary
The Mobile Trailer Mechanic will perform general to moderate level repairs on trailer chassis, bodies, and accessories, predominantly at customer locations and trailer yards, ensuring adherence to documentation for repairs and familiarity with DOT standards. Responsibilities include aluminum and steel welding, DOT inspections, and diagnosing electrical systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two years’ experience in trailer repair
- Certified aluminum and steel welding; both MIG and TIG welding
- Valid driver’s license and must be insurable
Desired Qualifications
- Trade or technical school (certificate or diploma)
- Trailer/Reefer Manufacturer Certification
- Tanker Inspector Certification
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
