Job Summary
The Mobile Trailer Technician performs general to moderate repairs on trailer chassis, bodies, and accessories, conducting maintenance types including chassis lube and brake adjustments primarily at customer locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two years’ experience in trailer repair
- Certified aluminum and steel welding; both MIG and TIG welding
- Valid driver’s license and must be insurable
Desired Qualifications
- Trade or technical school (certificate or diploma)
- Trailer/Reefer Manufacturer Certification
- Tanker Inspector Certification
Additional Requirements
- May require additional certification depending on type of tankers required to work on
- Driving record must meet insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier
