Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty tractors, including oil changes, chassis lubrication, and component upgrades. Perform on-site service calls in various weather conditions to diagnose breakdowns, replace damaged parts, and verify repairs through test drives. Manage tire services, maintain the service truck, and ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle regulations. Maintain accurate vehicle records, control costs via warranty evaluation, and implement a strong safety environment while working independently. Requires a valid Class B license, Class B license, and experience in mobile maintenance. Full-time position with competitive hourly pay ranging from $34 to $40.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Class B license
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Post-Secondary vocational education
- Fleet and mobile maintenance experience
- Experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field
- Technical understanding with attention to detail
- Strong verbal communication and documentation skills
- Capable of maintaining accurate inventory control
- Ability to implement a strong safety environment at all times
- Ability to work alone with little or no direction at times
