Job Summary
Mobile Facilities Technician supporting BC Hydro and Black & McDonald sites from Mackenzie to Fort St John; maintains operational integrity and safety, attends service calls, conducts inspections, initiates corrective work orders, and coordinates with suppliers; uses CMMS to manage preventive and corrective maintenance, builds relationships with customers and vendors, plans tasks with Facility Manager, and ensures timely resolution of facilities-related issues while supporting site inspections and safety checks.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in facilities management/mechanical/electrical service industry
- Knowledge and experience in building automated systems, Plumbing, Electrical & HVAC systems
- Available to travel within the assigned region (Mackenzie to Fort Nelson and Fort St John)
- Available for on call standby duties and emergency out of hours call outs
- Clean Class 5 or higher BC Driver’s License and Abstract
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to complete work in a timely manner
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees and customers
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
