Job Summary
Lead a team of 15+ mobile technicians by providing daily coaching, mentoring, and direct guidance to drive company results and improve maintenance efficiency. Retrieve and analyze metrics, reports, and safety logs to monitor productivity, conduct regular safety audits, and enforce DOT compliance and organizational standards. Coordinate with dispatch and sales teams to manage technician schedules, delegate unscheduled repair calls, and ensure full daily coverage. Interview, select, and train new hires while managing equipment, tools, and inventory levels across the field. Drive change initiatives for process improvements and technology adoption, acting as a liaison between technicians and customers to resolve operational issues. Operate a company vehicle to travel to technician and customer locations 50% of the time, with variable shifts and a base salary range of $89,400–$134,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- 6 years' experience in a related field
- 1+ year of experience in management or lead role
- Safe drivers needed
- 3 YR MVR review required
- Valid state-of-residence driver's license
- Skills in coaching, mentoring, teaching, discipline, having difficult conversations and 'tough love' as it pertains to mobile technicians
- Knowledge of the mobile work environment and challenges, maintenance practices, and processes requirements for mobile maintenance
- Ability to coordinate multiple group efforts to solve issues related to the technician job
- Ability to act with a high sense of urgency
- Adheres to an appropriate and effective set of core values and beliefs during both good and tough times
- Has a sense of urgency daily
- Will seamlessly adjust leadership approaches and technique to manage a diverse set of technicians
- Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
- Demonstrated ability to adapt leadership approach during periods of change, address resistance constructively, and help technicians successfully transition to new processes and expectations
- Demonstrated ability to learn and use IT systems related to technician day to day activity and performance, such as various dispatching software, reporting tools, Workday, Salesforce, Kronos, Power BI, etc.
- Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high-level of accomplishment
- Practices attentive and active listening
- Relates well to all kinds of people – up, down, and sideways, inside and outside the organization
- Can identify problems and develop practical solutions
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
