Job Summary
Mobile Systems Operator supporting the OSP Digital Twin Division. Responsible for safely driving vehicles, operating sUAS as RPIC, mounting and monitoring mobile mapping systems (360° camera, GPS, and related hardware), and handling data transfer to processing centers. Tasks include data download/post-processing, organizing daily logs and safety/incident reports, performing quality control on sensor data streams, troubleshooting system issues with in-house staff or vendors, and assisting with removal, repair, and installation of mapping equipment on data collection vehicles. Requires strong safety discipline, ability to work in diverse environments (urban/rural), and effective communication within a team. A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, or related field is preferred. Must have a valid US driver’s license and FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification, ability to pass drug screen and background check, and be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-priority setting with travel up to 60–85%. Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office is desired, along with solid analytical, organizational, and oral/written communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold valid US driver's license with clean driving history
- Must hold a valid and current FAA 14 CFR Part 107 License (Remote pilot certification)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, or similar discipline
- Experience using GIS software and/or online mapping applications to support vehicle navigation and route planning activities
- Familiarity with geospatial data, GPS hardware, and related software applications
- Strong computer and technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS or AutoCAD
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
