Job Summary

Mobile Systems Operator for OSP Digital Twin Division responsible for managing, operating, and monitoring mobile mapping sensor equipment during data collection. Safely drive standard vehicles, operate sUAS as RPIC, mount and monitor mobile mapping system and GPS hardware, download and post-process raw sensor data, maintain daily operation logs and incident reports, perform quality control on data streams, troubleshoot system issues with in-house staff or vendor support, assist in removal/installation of the mobile mapping system on data collection vehicles, and perform other duties as required. Requires high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred in Geography/Geomatics/GIS), GIS software experience, GPS hardware familiarity, proficiency with Windows, strong organizational and communication skills, valid US driver’s license, FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification, ability to travel 60-85%, and ability to pass background/drug screening. This is a field-based, travel-intensive role with a company that emphasizes equal opportunity employment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, or similar (preferred)
  • Background with field surveying or mapping operations preferred
  • Experience using GIS software and/or online mapping applications to support vehicle navigation and route planning
  • Familiarity with geospatial data, GPS hardware, and related software applications
  • Strong computer and technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS or AutoCAD
  • Must be able to effectively use a Windows-based computer
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with team members and contribute to project objectives
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work alone and with a team
  • Must hold valid US driver's license with clean driving history
  • Must hold a valid and current FAA 14 CFR Part 107 License (Remote pilot certification)
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
  • Physical ability to lift 60-70 lbs
  • Ability to travel up to 60-85%
