Mobile Service Technician - OTR

Job Summary
Operate a company service truck to provide mobile OTR tire service at customer and job-site locations, mounting, dismounting, repairing, and replacing tires on heavy equipment like loaders, graders, and haul trucks. Inspect tires, wheels, and rims for wear, diagnose issues, and perform repairs using hydraulic equipment, impact tools, and specialized service tools. Safely remove and position large tires while coordinating with equipment operators and site personnel. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain service inventory, and accurately document all work orders and service tickets. Respond to scheduled and emergency field service calls, including after-hours and weekend rotations, while adhering to DOT regulations and site-specific safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company vehicle.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must meet company requirements for operating a company service vehicle.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to lift, move, roll, and handle heavy tires and tire components, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Ability to frequently bend, kneel, squat, climb, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and other field conditions.
- Ability to work safely around large mobile equipment, construction operations, mines, quarries, industrial sites, and active job sites.
- Ability to repeatedly enter and exit a service truck and operate field service equipment throughout the workday.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
- Ability to lift and move tires weighing 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
- Capable of working independently in various weather and road conditions.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Desired Qualifications
- OTR tire, heavy equipment, industrial tire, commercial tire, or field service experience preferred.
- Experience working around heavy equipment is strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate specialized tire service equipment.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in field environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as required.
- CDL and/or DOT medical certification may be required depending on assigned service vehicle and applicable regulations.
- Mini boom truck experience - farm tires and small OTR tires.
- Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred, but not required.
