Job Summary
Perform on-site diagnostic services, repairs, and maintenance work on refrigeration units by verifying unit performance, conducting inspections, and correcting system deficiencies. Manage service processes to ensure efficiency and quality customer satisfaction while completing repair orders timely and accurately. Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance schedules, installing upgrades and controlling erosion, and consistently maintain cost by using warranties. Practice a safety culture by wearing required PPE and responding promptly to emergency service calls. Complete repair orders and enter data at time of repair using computer and keyboarding skills. Participate in training and read technical publications to increase job knowledge. Work Monday through Friday in Bakersfield, CA with an on-call rotation required to support operational needs outside regular hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a medical examiners test
- Utilize critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities, and exercises good judgment when completing tasks in an efficient, correct, and productive manner
- Coordinate tools, resources, and equipment to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Active listening skills, oral/written comprehension, and commitment to perform quality service
- Basic computer and data entry skills for Windows based software programs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook and Word
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs/ladders
- Ability to lift / carry / push / pull up to 50lbs
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to work in hot and cold temperature extremes
- Ability to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Attendance and punctuality
- Participation in an on-call rotation
- Compliance with all personnel policies and practices
- Ability to work alone for extended periods and in teams
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer and data entry skills for Windows based software programs e.g., Karmak Fusion software a plus
