Job Summary
Mobile Service Technician III at FleetPride: perform preventative maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, diagnose complex vehicle systems, and train other technicians. Work in the shop between service calls and may participate in after-hours on-call rotations. Duties include inspecting vehicles, recommending maintenance solutions, maintaining 80% productivity, servicing brakes (air, hydraulic, electric, and components), testing and diagnosing suspension, electrical, exhaust, steering, air conditioning, PTOs and custom exhaust systems, clutches and drivelines, diesel and gasoline engines, fuel tanks, fifth wheels, and frames; welding; reviewing service stories; ensuring quality before delivery; and maintaining a clean workspace. Requires a high school diploma or GED; Diesel Technology certification/degree is a plus but not required; 7+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks/trailers; diagnostic experience; welding; air brake certified; valid driver’s license; tool ownership; ability to lift 50 lbs; Class A CDL preferred but not required. Required Qualifications
