Job Summary
Examine vehicles to determine damage or malfunctions, then perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and routine services like oil changes and filter replacements. Repair and adjust brakes, suspension systems, electrical components, and drivelines; test drive vehicles using proper equipment. Troubleshoot failures to suggest accurate repairs and provide preventative maintenance solutions to customers. Maintain an 80% productivity rate, prevent comebacks, and keep the workspace and service truck clean and organized. Participate in the after-hour on-call rotation if needed. Maintain a perfect safety record while practicing safe driving in extreme temperatures and hazardous conditions.
Required Qualifications
- 3 + years of experience with repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Diesel Technology certificate/degree
Desired Qualifications
- Diesel Technology certificate/degree is a plus, but not required
- Class A CDL is preferred, but not required
