Job Summary
Mobile Service Technician II responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a shop and field setting. Duties include routine maintenance (oil changes, lubrications, filter replacements), brake repairs (air, hydraulic, electric), suspension and steering work, electrical and exhaust system repairs, fuel tanks, fifth wheels, pintle hooks, and adjustments to driveline components; testing components and test driving vehicles; welding with aluminum and steel; fabricating driveshafts; maintaining a clean workspace and participating in on-call rotations. Requires 3+ years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, tools, and a valid driver's license; CDL is preferred but not required; Diesel Technology certificate/degree is a plus. 80% productivity maintenance target and safe-work practices emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Diesel Technology certificate/degree is a plus, but not required
- 3+ years of experience with repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers
- Welding
- Air Brake Certified
- Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL is preferred, but not required
- Must provide hand tools, air tools, and toolbox
- Ability to lift 50lbs
