Job Summary
Examine vehicles to determine damage or malfunctions, then perform routine and scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements. Diagnose vehicle system failures and execute repairs on brakes, suspension, electrical, steering, and exhaust systems. Troubleshoot complex issues such as clutch adjustments, driveline replacements, and custom exhaust work while performing basic welding and fabrication. Maintain 80% productivity, prevent comebacks, and ensure a clean, organized workspace. Participate in after-hour on-call rotation if needed. Requires Class A CDL preference, valid driver's license, and ability to lift 50lbs. Located in Irving, TX for FleetPride, the nation's largest heavy-duty parts distributor.
Required Qualifications
- 3 + years of experience with repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Must provide hand tools, air tools, and toolbox
- Maintain perfect safety record
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Diesel Technology certificate/degree
- Class A CDL
- Air Brake Certified
