Job Summary
Receive daily work assignments and customer schedules from Service Advisors and Service Managers. Perform instructed maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services on gas and diesel vehicles at customer locations, covering engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and HVAC systems. Communicate job status updates to customers and the Service Manager while maintaining a clean service truck and managing inventory. Possess general knowledge of vehicle warranty requirements and ability to perform engine diagnostics using laptop software. Adhere to all traffic laws while operating the GPS-monitored service vehicle. Participate in an on-call schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information
- High School Diploma or the equivalent
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Must have valid driver's license with clean record
- Must provide own tools
- Minimum 3 years' experience with diesel truck and trailer repair, maintenance, and diagnostics
- Must be able to sufficiently perform engine diagnostics with laptop/software
- Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
- Will be required to participate in an on call schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Valid CLD is preferred
- Dealership experience preferred
