Job Summary
Diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles using a fully equipped mobile service vehicle at homes, workplaces, and approved locations. Receive and complete repair orders dispatched by the Mobile Service Coordinator or Service Department, performing eligible maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, recalls, and repairs within the mobile service program scope. Travel safely to service locations, determine whether work can be completed in the field or if the vehicle requires dealership referral, and conduct quality-control checks to confirm all repairs meet BMW Center and Factory standards. Provide accurate labor, time, and parts information, explain completed services to customers, and maintain the mobile service vehicle and assigned inventory. Complete all required paperwork and follow dealership, manufacturer, and safety policies. Assist the dealership service department when mobile appointments are not scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of hands-on automotive repair experience in a professional environment, or equivalent education and experience
- Strong mechanical, electrical, diagnostic, and computer skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules and field conditions
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment, service information systems, and mobile technology
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to perform all duties safely and follow established procedures
- Must be able to pass applicable pre-employment screening, including a background check and motor vehicle record check
