Job Summary
Perform electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs on donor sites, replacing components, fixing fixtures, and constructing storage or office spaces. Inspect rooftops, walls, and drainage systems for preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building malfunctions, and evaluate refrigeration performance. Monitor Building Management and Isensix systems, organize multi-mechanic projects, and maintain logs and reports. Rotate with other mechanics and remain on-call. Overtime eligible with shift incentives; hourly salary ranges from $29.00 to $33.00 for NYC/Westchester roles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years' experience handling general building issues along with the repair and maintenance of equipment
- Ability to operate hand/power tools properly and safely

- Must be able to rotate with other mechanics

- Experience handling various building and process system malfunctions
- Experience working with copper materials
- Experience working with PVC materials
- Experience working with brass materials
- Experience working with stainless materials
- Experience working in New York City or Westchester County
- Experience working outside of New York City or Westchester County
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to operate NYBC vehicle to drive between Long Island donor sites as needed
