Job Summary
Perform railcar repairs and maintenance, assist with tank qualification, and operate forklifts or telehandlers as needed. Interpret work orders and blueprints, prepare railcars for visual inspections including grinding and torching, and use mechanical skills for welding, cutting, and gouging. Report material needs, follow safety rules, and ensure compliance with FRA, AAR, and ARS standards. Travel 50%–75% of the time while maintaining clean work areas and wearing required PPE. Work Monday through Friday day shifts with some weekends required.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid TWIC card
