Job Summary
Coordinate railcar repairs and maintenance while assisting with tank qualification and preparing vehicles for visual inspections. Operate forklifts and telehandlers as needed, interpret work orders and blueprints, and utilize mechanical skills for welding, cutting, and gouging. Report material shortages, maintain clean work areas, and ensure compliance with FRA, AAR, and customer standards while working safely around heavy equipment and tracks. Requires valid driver's license or TWIC card, fluent English proficiency, and willingness to travel 50%–75%. Regular on-site attendance is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
- Speak, write, read fluent English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
