Perform registration, vitals, medical screening, phlebotomy, heat sealing, and record-keeping for whole-blood, autologous, directed, therapeutic, and research services. Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure all blood products meet FDA quality standards. Assist the supervisor with daily paperwork verification and alert them immediately regarding equipment issues, venipuncture complications, donor questions, or performance concerns. Continually assess donor needs throughout the process, including evaluating and treating donor reactions, while educating donors on donation frequency and product needs. Work a varied schedule including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends with flexible hours based on blood drive availability.
