Mobile Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Drive to client facilities, typically nursing homes, to unload phlebotomy trays and collect patient samples ordered by physicians. Accurately identify patients, process specimens, and deliver them while reloading equipment for prompt return. Maintain sterile conditions, adhere to Universal Precautions, and communicate status with the dispatcher. Ensure all certifications, health requirements, and operational standards are met. Requires a current State phlebotomy and Driver's license, proficiency in venipuncture, and excellent communication with pediatric and geriatric populations. Full-time and part-time roles offer competitive wages, health insurance, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Practices excellent communication and interaction skills specific to the population served, including the pediatric and geriatric communities
- Treats customers and patients with respect, dignity, and discretion; acknowledging residents' rights and patients' right to refuse
- Must have a current, valid State phlebotomy license
- Must have a current, valid State Driver's license
- Must have car insurance
- Must have a good driving record
- Must have a vehicle in good working condition suitable to meet daily driving requirements
- Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniques
- Knowledge of laboratory operations
- Maintains sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contamination
