Job Summary
Mobile Phlebotomist needed for early-morning routes, on-call, and home draw opportunities with American Health Associates, servicing long-term care facilities. Responsibilities include obtaining samples following established phlebotomy procedures, patient identification, proper labeling and requisition transport, PHI handling, maintaining safety and quality patient care, understanding resident rights, competency in medical terminology, coordinating with dispatch and laboratory teams, maintaining equipment, timely logkeeping and time sheets, and maintaining a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation for mobile/home draws. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, ability to drive and travel to facilities, and optional phlebotomy certification; home draw experience is preferred. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy work experience required
- Valid state-issued Driver License; must be at least 21 years old
- Clean driving record for last 5-years; own reliable transportation, must provide proof of required auto insurance coverage (100/300/100)
- Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care; some states require additional background checks including fingerprinting
- Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited training school or equivalent, preferred
- Home Draws: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience required; additional credentialing requirements must be completed prior to working on our Home Draw team!
