Job Summary
Diagnose and repair pallet jacks, electrical systems, batteries, and hydraulic components at customer sites using a mobile service truck. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and accurately complete work orders while adhering to safety requirements. Operate the service truck, manage parts inventory, document equipment damage for repair estimates, and oversee recall campaigns and annual safety inspections. Maintain professional standards onsite and apply continuous training to develop technical skills.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- at least 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and/or military equivalent
- Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
- Possess a clean motor vehicle record per J.B. Hunt guidelines
- Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through our toolbox purchase program
- Know how to use a multimeter and other diagnostic tools
- Experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, batteries, and/or charging systems
- Ability to fulfill physical demands (lift up to 60 lbs)
- Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals
- Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- at least 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and/or military equivalent
- Experience with welding
- Ability to provide a quality of service that customers describe as excellent
- Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to use time and resources efficiently and effectively
