Job Summary
Drive tractor trailers configured for mobile medical imaging (MRI, PET & CT units) at night to hospitals and clinics for local deliveries. Report daily to designated parking locations, pick up your truck, and transport 1-2 trailers per shift. Upon arrival, unload or pack up the trailer, set up and tear down medical diagnostic equipment, and ensure trailers are securely connected to the tractor. Monitor, report, and repair any mechanical or safety items, and perform Q.A. checks on equipment after arrival at the site. Shifts run 8-10 hours, typically weeknights and some weekend nights, with paid training provided for routes and equipment setup.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A truck driver
- Valid commercial driver's license in the state of residence
- DOT Medical certification
- Clean DOT driving record
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. at a time
- Ability to drive tractors with automatic transmission
- 1-2 years' experience driving tractor trailers
- Ability to set up medical diagnostic equipment at delivery sites
- Ability to drive safely and not cause damages to equipment or client property
- Ability to drive large, heavy tractor trailers
- Must be organized
- Detail oriented
- Comfortable working independently
- Must be available for weeknights and some weekend nights
- Must be available for 8 -10 hour shifts
- Must be available for 2PM to 6PM start / 12AM to 4AM finish
- Must be available for 4-5 times a week
- Must be able to get out of their truck and unload or pack up the trailer
- Must be able to transport 1-2 trailers a night
- Must be able to drive to hospitals & medical clinics
- Must be able to drop off or pick up their trailer
- Must be able to ensure trailers are securely connected to tractor
- Must be able to comply with ICC and DOT regulations
- Must be able to make safety a priority
- Must be able to monitor, report and/or repair any mechanical or safety item
- Must be able to perform Q.A. checks on equipment after arrival at site
- Must be able to be exposed to a strong magnetic field or environmental hazards such as exposure to noise
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience preferred
