Job Summary
Assist physicians at long-term care facilities with audiology, optometry, podiatry, and behavioral health care while maintaining clinical records and charts through electronic medical records. Complete chart prep for scheduled patients, verify accurate medical history during visits, and generate daily production reports for management. Coordinate patient flow, manage medical equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance, and audit supply inventory to prevent waste. Accurately post charges to providers and document all patient inquiries in the EMR. Requires 100% travel to assigned facilities, reliable transportation, and a high school education or GED.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or GED
- Own reliable transportation
- Good driving record
- Car insurance
- Completed and passed a two-step Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to listen to needs of patients and doctors
- Full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to push
- Ability to stoop
- Corrected vision to a normal range
- Corrected hearing to a normal range
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Ability to work irregular hours
- Ability to work with exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Successful completion of a drug screen
