Job Summary
Assist physicians at long-term care facilities with audiology, optometry, podiatry care, and behavioral health by completing chart prep, verifying clinical records, and maintaining accurate electronic medical histories. Manage patient flow, coordinate facility visits, and perform end-of-visit reports while ensuring equipment cleaning and supply inventory control. Generate daily production reports, post charges, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and providers. Requires travel up to 2 hours from base with 100% travel time, plus completion of TB testing and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or GED
- Must have own reliable transportation
- Good driving record
- Car insurance
- Completed and passed a two-step Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to follow directions
- Must be able to listen to needs of patients and doctors
- Full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to stand, walk, push and stoop on a periodic basis
- Ability to push patients in wheelchair
- Corrected vision to a normal range
- Corrected hearing to a normal range
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Ability to work irregular hours
- Ability to work with exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Background investigation completion
- Drug screen completion
