Job Summary
Maintain and repair a wide variety of mobile power equipment, including air compressors, haul trucks, bulldozers, and front-end loaders. Complete repairs on gas and diesel powered systems, assist in engine removal and re-assembly, and adjust ignition, fuel injection, and carburetion systems. Perform preventive maintenance duties such as lubricating equipment, changing tires, and charging batteries while utilizing hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ensure the work area meets all safety standards and perform other duties as assigned. Base hourly rate is $43.76; full-time permanent positions require U.S. work eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to drive mobile equipment
- Ability to repair engines, ignitions, brakes, carburetion, fuel injection, power steering systems, etc.
- Comprehension on use of electronic diagnostic equipment on all mobile equipment
- Ability to complete preventative maintenance on all mobile equipment
- Ability to make emergency repairs when needed on all mobile equipment
- Ability to use a desk top computer to research problems, determine possible cause and repair
- Ability to identify parts needed for repairs
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mobile equipment
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer-sponsored visa (work permit)
