Job Summary
Mobile Meal Aide in JASA’s Home Delivered Meals Program delivers meals to homebound clients in Brooklyn, supporting meal preparation, packaging, kitchen cleanup, and meal delivery to congregate sites and homes on assigned routes. Responsibilities include packaging cooked food, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, delivering meals with courteous, respectful service, and handling client contributions and documentation. Requires ability to lift and carry meal containers, climb stairs, and work in kitchen/delivery settings; English literacy and HS diploma or GED preferred; NYS driver’s license preferred. Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (35 hours/week).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, speak, and follow directions in English
- Ability to lift heavy objects and carry meal containers and supplies
- Ability to climb stairs, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to work in kitchen and delivery environments
- Valid New York State Driver’s License preferred
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as assigned
