Job Summary
Perform minor plumbing repairs, electrical fixes, carpentry tasks, and basic HVAC troubleshooting across multiple institutional facilities. Process work orders through the CMMS, conduct routine inspections, and maintain assigned company vehicles while traveling between sites. Execute snow and ice removal, clear debris, and coordinate contractor involvement for complex issues. Maintain tools, document activities, and adhere to safety procedures and service level agreements. Requires 24/7 on-call rotation, ability to lift 80 lbs, and valid driver's license. Compensation ranges from $60,800 to $88,200 annually. Located in Bloomington, Champaign, and Peoria, IL.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with relevant trade certifications as required by client scope or local jurisdiction
- Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience in commercial or institutional facilities
- Valid driver's license with safe driving record and ability to drive company vehicles safely in various weather and traffic conditions, sometimes requiring long distance travel throughout designated portfolio
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems with HVAC knowledge as required by client scope
- Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency using computerized work order systems (CMMS) and basic tablet or mobile device applications
- Strong commitment to meeting service level agreements, response time standards, and safety procedures
- Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs
- Ability to use ladders up to 30 ft
- Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, and lifting
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written, with ability to represent the company professionally with clients
- 24/7 on-call on a rotational basis
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
