Job Summary
Perform in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and transport to designated laboratories while conducting electrocardiograms and macular edema screenings for patients initiating complex therapies. Maintain a clean work environment, manage clinical supply inventory, and submit visit-related paperwork promptly. Identify adverse events, report medical product complaints, and maintain accurate mileage and time logs for reimbursement. This per diem, travel-based role offers flexible hours with no minimum monthly visit commitment, paid hourly compensation including travel time, and IRS-standard mileage reimbursement. Referrals are assigned based on geographic availability and program demand.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in clinical or field settings
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds to transport medical or diagnostic equipment
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 100 miles to conduct patient visits
- Proficiency in using medical equipment
- Upholding proper documentation practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to be subject to a review of driving record prior to hire
- Willingness to complete a drug screening after accepting an offer
- Willingness to complete a background check after accepting an offer
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year of EKG experience
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
