Job Summary
Perform in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and transport while conducting electrocardiograms (EKGs) and macular edema screenings for patients initiating complex therapies. Comply with laboratory safety procedures, maintain clean work environments, and manage clinical supply inventory. Collaborate with the clinical coordination team to submit visit paperwork and report adverse events or patient inquiries. Maintain accurate mileage and time logs for reimbursement and compliance. This per diem, travel-based role offers flexible hours with no minimum monthly visit requirement, including a 2-hour minimum paid appointment time and IRS-standard mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in clinical or field settings
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds to transport medical or diagnostic equipment
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 100 miles to conduct patient visits
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and upholding proper documentation practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to be subject to a review of driving record prior to hire
- Willingness to complete a drug screening and background check after accepting an offer
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year of EKG experience
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
