Job Summary
Mobile Learning, Community, and Career Readiness Specialist is responsible for improving academic and student experiences in the online environment through blended opportunities; will onboard new families, coordinate and facilitate regional school events, promote outreach via social media, support work-based learning experiences, and provide community resources and connections for families across Michigan. The role supports the school’s Career Readiness initiatives, including support for the Mobile Learning and Career Lab and postsecondary career pathway opportunities, with anticipated travel 50% to 60% across the state. Essential duties include organizing face-to-face events, engaging with families and partners, coordinating with Career Tech teams, surveying families for feedback, and collaborating with leadership to plan events and social opportunities for parents during state testing. Requirements include MI Teaching Certificate preferred, Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience, strong communication and relationship-building skills, event planning abilities, proficiency with social media, and willingness to travel statewide; must reside in Michigan and be able to work from a home-based setup with 50% travel.
