Job Summary
Organize daily schedules of visits to facilities and private residences to collect specimens per physician requests, planning routes for courier times and specimen integrity. Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings. Collect and deliver specimens to designated labs, accessing, spinning, and preparing samples for transport as required. Book patient appointments, request necessary information, explain collection processes, and ensure protocols are followed. Liaise with doctors, facility staff, and CCAC regarding patient problems, scheduling changes, and collection procedures. Maintain strict patient privacy and confidentiality while driving with a valid Class G license and clean record. Full-time float role with various shifts from 6:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Access to a vehicle
- Minimum of three (3) years of driving experience
- Clear driver's abstract
- Satisfactory criminal reference check
- Phlebotomy experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to think quickly on your feet
- Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality
- Fully vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccinations
- Booster shot for this role
