Job Summary
Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment in assigned facilities to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime. Perform ongoing preventive and repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and related systems; maintain and repair HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, building interiors/exteriors, and related equipment. Study equipment and methods to perform daily activities; conduct facility inspections and due diligence; submit work orders and update status in CMMS (Corrigo). Requires universal CFC recovery certification and at least four years of technical experience in building engineering with strong HVAC/R, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing skills; ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration; valid state driver’s license; on-call availability. This is a mobile, on-site role in Santa Ana, CA with coverage for surrounding area, and does not sponsor visa.
Required Qualifications
- Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment)
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of overall system design and applications
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration
- Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC (preferred)
