Mobile Groomer

Job Summary
Mobile Pet Groomer travels to clients' homes using mobile grooming units to provide bathing, brushing, trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling per client specifications. Safety and animal comfort are prioritized while handling pets, and grooming equipment/mobile units are kept clean. The role involves assessing each pet’s health and behavior, communicating concerns to owners or veterinary professionals when needed, and building strong customer relations through excellent service. Responsibilities include managing appointments efficiently and offering general pet care guidance. Skills emphasis includes proven grooming experience with knowledge of breed-specific requirements, strong animal handling and restraint abilities, familiarity with dog training techniques, the ability to perform heavy lifting, outstanding customer service, and a background in veterinary-related roles or veterinary clinics. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming with knowledge of different breeds’ grooming requirements
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, veterinary experience, or animal care is highly desirable
- Familiarity with dog training techniques and dog handling best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs into grooming tubs or mobile units)
- Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of pet sitting, animal restraint techniques, and kennel experience is a plus
- Experience working with veterinary professionals or in veterinary clinics enhances your suitability for this role
- Cat grooming experience is preferred but not required
