Job Summary
Field-based Mobile Generator Engineer role performing inspection, servicing, and maintenance of rental equipment (generators, load banks, transformers, fuel tanks, cables, panels) to company schedules. Lead site installations and commissioning/decommissioning of rental solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, document inspections in CAT inspection application, ensure adherence to health & safety policies, and support logistics for inbound/outbound equipment. Requires apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electronic, 5+ years in rental energy or similar, and a valid driving license. CAT training and Offshore/CSCSSafe-pass certifications may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Apprenticeship trained, NVQ Level 3 (Mechanical or Electronic) or equivalent
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety
- Driver’s license
- 5 years’ plus experience in the Rental energy sector or a similar role
- Further mechanical and/or electronic engineering qualifications
- Safe pass (ROI) or CSCS (UK) required
- Offshore certifications (where required)
- Has achieved and demonstrated a competent skill level of ability on all basic and a part of the advance skills for Level 1 Engineer as per the companies training and skills matrix.
