Job Summary

Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle fire suppression systems on heavy mobile equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and support equipment. Service safety equipment such as extinguishers, alarms, and emergency systems while completing scheduled maintenance and emergency service calls. Document inspections and repairs using iPad-based reporting and work directly with customers and site personnel. Maintain service inventory and readiness while following all site and company safety procedures. This role involves a 12-hour shift on a 14 on/14 off rotation in Fort McMurray, with flights and housing provided. Candidates must bring mechanical experience in heavy equipment or automotive environments, strong troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • Mechanical experience in heavy equipment, automotive, industrial, or related environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Comfortable reading schematics and technical manuals
  • Valid driver's license with clean abstract
  • Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and site access testing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Able to work outdoors and around heavy equipment
  • Comfortable with long shifts and uneven terrain
