Job Summary
Diagnose, service, and repair John Deere and competitive turf equipment at customer locations and in the shop; mentor technicians and trainees; perform field diagnostics and repairs on 2-stroke and 4-stroke small engines; provide delivery support and participate in clinics; maintain thorough documentation and billable time; follow safety rules and participate in dealer training; require ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate shop equipment; DOT Medical Certificate and valid driver’s license required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
- Associates degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience repairing small gas and diesel engines
- Experience performing service repairs and maintenance using manuals and diagnostic tools
- Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Valid driver’s license; DOT Medical Certificate; 21+ years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in shop and field conditions
- Experience with John Deere or competitive equipment
