Job Summary
Operate heavy mobile equipment including bulldozers, excavators, and loaders for excavation, grading, and material handling at the Newberry, FL plant. Perform daily hauling of materials from the mine pit to stockpiles or plant hopper while conducting pre-shift safety inspections and reporting unsafe conditions. Load customer trucks with a front-end loader, maintain stockpiles, and communicate with load/unload areas while observing all plant traffic controls. Comply with industry safety rules and government regulations, actively promoting safety awareness and continuous improvement. Work in varied outdoor environments including extreme heat, cold, and dusty conditions. High school diploma or GED required; prompt attendance essential.
Required Qualifications
- The ability to operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.)
- Operate equipment in quarry and daily hauling of material from mine pit to stockpile, plant or hopper
- Operate a front-end loader to efficiently and accurately load customer trucks and maintain stockpiles
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
- The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
- Positive, Team-based attitude
