Job Summary
Safely operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles, and yard vehicles to move materials between workstations and storage locations. Ensure loading teams comply with safety procedures, inspect all equipment at shift start and during the shift, and record data on daily inspection forms. Complete Equipment Condition Reports, perform basic troubleshooting, and monitor operations to minimize downtime. Review daily loading schedules, establish work procedures, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency. Maintain a clean shop and outside area, storing tools properly at shift completion. This role supports Arcosa Wind Towers' manufacturing of structural wind towers in Belen, NM, requiring adherence to LEAN principles and full compliance with safety rules.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certificate(s) of training and applicable licenses for operation of equipment, as required
- One year of prior related experience in equipment operation
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to implement and follow through with the LEAN operating principles and processes
- Handle all business matters ethically and in full compliance with company Code of Conduct
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
- Must be available for work/maintenance coverage beyond the regular hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
