Job Summary
Implement extensive Preventative Maintenance Program for all HME equipment including front end loaders, haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, and excavators. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems while maintaining a repair schedule and coordinating with plant staff to secure parts. Monitor inventory of equipment and maintenance supplies, inspect all operating equipment each shift, and report problems or safety hazards to the quarry supervisor. Manage outsourced repairs when needed and forecast upcoming repairs. Work in a quarry environment requiring rigorous physical activity in all weather conditions, adhering to all safety protocols and PPE standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in operation knowledge of heavy equipment found in a quarry or materials operation
- Extensive experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing mobile equipment, including hydraulics, diagnostic, electrical and schematic knowledge
- Limited machinist skills with the ability to read precision measurement instruments
- Fabrication skills; welding with arc and gas (certificate)
- Experience in managing maintenance on a fleet of equipment
- Manufacturer sponsored tracking
- Computer skills
- Ability to provide own set of mechanic hand tools
- Ability to forecast and schedule upcoming repairs
- Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Previous experience in a construction or quarry environment

- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
