Mobile Engineering Team Lead

Job Summary
Leading mobile engineering for native iOS and Android apps, owning the technical direction and delivery across full lifecycle, writing and reviewing production mobile code, and mentoring engineers. You will define and enforce engineering standards, automate testing (unit/integration/UI/E2E), drive AI-first development practices (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot), shape the mobile technical roadmap, manage CI/CD pipelines and release processes (Apple App Store and Google Play), and collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, and DevOps to translate ambiguous requirements into shippable work. You will coach engineers through 1:1s and performance reviews, act as escalation point for production incidents, and foster a test-first culture with clear definitions of done and observable metrics.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 5+ years building production mobile applications
- 2+ years in a tech lead, staff, or engineering management role
- Strong iOS development expertise (Swift, SwiftUI/UIKit, Xcode, App Store submission, TestFlight)
- Strong Android development expertise (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Gradle, Play Console)
- CI/CD and testing strategy experience
- Experience with AI-assisted development tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
